Purva went to school in Indore and Surat, in a home where music was already in the room — her mother sings classical and folk. She committed to music around 2016 and trained under guru Malay Banerjee.
Today she works out of Mumbai, which is where the recording, the shoots and the tour planning happen.
Before any film credit she built a catalogue on her own channel: Hindi and Punjabi singles like Dilruba, Channa Ve, Yaara Ve and Dur Mein Kaise, and Gujarati songs such as Tu Che with Veer Pandya. Uljhi came out through Zee Music Company.
On Zee TV's Indian Pro Music League she sang for the Mumbai Warriors.
Navratri is where her shows get loudest. She sings while playing a heavy Puneri dhol — a big part of why crowds call her the “Indian Shakira”. Surat's garba nights have become a regular fixture.
Rumjhum (2023) was written for exactly these crowds.
For Navratri 2024, Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared Aavati Kalay, a garba he wrote as a tribute to Goddess Durga — with Purva singing it. She recorded the song and shot the video within 24 hours.

Her Bollywood playback includes Ishqa, a sad song in Kunal Kohli's Bobby Aur Rishi Ki Love Story. In February 2025 she put out Mascara, a song about women owning the way they look.

2026 brought Homecoming — a four-episode music series billed as “A Cosmic Love Story” — and the drill single Ghaduliyo.

Navratri season runs from Gujarat to North America. Her US garba and dandiya tours go out under the name Purvastic — in 2024 across five US cities, and in 2025 through Chicago, Atlantic City, Seattle and Los Angeles.
